Proudly introducing diyPresso! A unique DIY espresso machine build kit that gives you complete control over every aspect of your espresso. With fully adjustable parameters and our open-source software, you can create your own personalized espresso experience.
In October 2022, Bernard Hulshof and Pieter Raat launched this project with three main goals:
1) DIY Build Kit: Users assemble their own espresso machine. This hands-on process helps you understand the machine inside and out, making part replacement simple when needed. Assembly is easy—just a screwdriver and wrench is all it takes!
2) Consistency & Control: Every espresso shot should be perfect, every time. Built-in sensors let you measure and adjust all settings for optimal extraction. With the press of a button, you can tweak values and perfect your shot.
3) Open Source Software: We invite users to help build the future of diyPresso. The community can share the best profiles, contribute to new features, and improve functionality. Users connect through our dedicated forum and GitHub page.
What started as a hobby has, after a year and a half, grown into a business. We’ve received amazing feedback, and 15 beta testers have already successfully built and used their machines. Now, we’re ready for the next step—and we’d love to welcome DIY enthusiasts and coffee lovers to join this new movement!
