Interested in Tubing Materials

One of my main motivations for looking into the diyPresso is to avoid plastic parts in my coffee machine, especially in contact with the hot water. Is the tubing in your hardware kit plastic-free? Are there options to replace plastic parts if necessary?

Should I buy if I love moka?

Good evening,

I love your project, and as someone who enjoys DIY equipment and is willing to update his coffee setup, I am considering acquiring a diyPresso One. The only issue is that espresso is not my favorite type of coffee, yet. I'm usually using a Bialetti moka pot and I really enjoy the type of coffee it makes. So, my question is: to which extent would I be able to modify the brewing parameters of the diyPresso One, and how close could I come to a moka pot style coffee?

I hope the question is not utterly extravagant, I'm quite new around here.

Any plans for a steam wand and double boiler?

Hi there, just found out about this project and think it's just great. Curious if there are plans to add a steam wand for those of us who enjoy milk drinks? Also curious if the addition of another boiler might be a consideration (understanding that the footprint of the machine will increase)?

Any plans towards profiling?

First of all: congratulations for this great project! I really like the approach and especially the fact that you open sourced your code.

My question: do you have any plans to integrate profiling functionality like pressure, flow or temperature profiling? Would this even work with the current hardware setup?

Hello Bernard & Pieter,

first of all: congratulation to this wonderful project and many thx for the effort you put in. I appreciate this a lot.
I’ll now buy one machine, to have the chance to be part of this great project.

One small question: Due to I’ll buy only machine parts and doing the assembly and commissioning on my own, you will not hand over CE (machine conformity), clear for me. But will you send a declaration of incorporation?

Looking forward to build up and tune my machine ;)
